Carsten Norgaard has received critical acclaim & box office success in a wide variety of projects, beginning with his breakout role in “D2: The Mighty Ducks,” opposite Emilio Estevez. The Hollywood Reporter praised "Carsten Norgaard is terrific as the arch-villain, the black suited, slick-haired Icelandic coach" & the New York Times was so impressed by his role in D2 that they featured him in their article, "For the Villains of Hollywood, It's Cold War II."

Carsten was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark. An early passion for filmmaking and acting led him to London to study at The Actors Centre.

His most recent performance is in the hit German TV series "Tatort," directed by Oscar winner Florian Baxmeyer.

Additional credits include: "The Black Pimpernel," an emotional drama about the Swedish Ambassador Harold Edelstram and his heroic actions. The film won the Jury Special Mention Prize in The Bucharest International Film Festival.


"Kein Bund furs Leben" is a German Comedy in which Carsten played the American lead Major Ridgeley, from the Oscar winning producer's of "The Lives of the Others" (Das Leben der Anderen).

The Danish hit TV series "Nynne," directed by Oscar winner Martin Strange Hansen, which is a cross between "Sex in The City" meets "Bridget Jones Diaries." Carsten played the love interest of the lead character Nynne.

"The Unit" for CBS created by David Mamet. "Alien vs. Predator," the #1 box office hit for 20th Century Fox directed by Paul Anderson. "Gods & Generals," the Civil War drama starring Robert Duvall directed by Ron Maxwell. "Soldier” starring Kurt Russell directed by Paul Anderson. "The Spartans" which earned an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival. “Out of Annie's Past" starring Dennis Farina. The Daily Variety wrote, "Norgaard's overwrought lover is smooth as cream."

Carsten was the leading man and lover opposite Nastassja Kinski in the NBC mini-series "The Ring." The NBC mini-series “House of Frankenstein.” "Missing Pieces" starring James Coburn on CBS. The two English TV series “The Manageress” & “Capital City.” The BBC film “Tales of Hollywood” starring Jeremy Irons and Alec Guinness.

“The Strange Afflictions of Anton Bruckner” and in the HBO movie “Prisoner of Honor,” directed by Emmy winner Ken Russell.

Carsten starred and co-produced "The Gristle," which was sold to HBO. It is the only film ever to be financed with an SBA (Small Business Administration) loan guarantee. The historical significance of this funding received front-page editorial coverage in Daily Variety & the L.A. Times.
